Houston County 4-H Club
Contact: Sheila Settles & Laurie Mobley
The Houston County 4-H program is offered in all county schools. (Erin Elementary, Tennessee Ridge Elementary, Houston County Middle School, Houston County High School and Houston County Home School Program.) Meetings are held in the schools Oct-Nov/Jan-Apr each year. Each month the following activities occur:
October -Enroll and Elect Officers
November-4th grade begins working in Explorer Book
5th - 12th grades - Receive books and begin working in them, Public Speaking Contest
January-4-H Poster Contest
February-Bread baking Contest
March-Demonstration Contest
March or April-4-H Congress
April-Dairy Products Poster Contest
April/May- County Beef Show
Summer-Camps, Style Show, Workshops, Trips, Judging Team Training
